Six months later . . .

I was looking through some of the photos I took six months ago. Here is one taken of a stony tube coral 6 months ago:

Here is the same coral colony yesterday:

Cucumber at the surface feeding:

Purple serpent star hiding under lobed coral colony:

I re-discovered this filter feeder yesterday. I had not seen it for awhile. It reminds me of the basket stars I've seen on night dives in the caribbean. It could also be a cucumber in the rock.

Hey, Terry. Looks like things are doing well. The last picture is a rock boring Cuc. I had one that lasted about two years and initially couldn't figure it out. I can't remember where I found the reference for it. Regardless, it's kind off a cool hitchhiker.
Thanks for sharing the picts.

Wow, that's just in six months! That's incredible.

And now I know what those red things are on my rock. I knew there some type of coral but stoney.

Thanks for the pics

You should see the Lobed Star Coral you sent! It's getting "lobier" and the polyps have really colored up and spread. Now that the big blenny has been relocated it seems alot happier without Stinker always picking at it. (Stinker resides in the refugium...permanent time out...could NOT play nice with others at all)

Coral growth is a good thing..means you are a good mommy...

Little stinker has his own domain now...he will like that...they have large attitudes!
