sixline wrasse

I'd like to know too! I have one on QT and would love to add another at some point.

these guys are really territorial, it might be possible to have 2 in a tank as long as you add them at the same time. Keep in mind these guys are really mean towards.

with a 450g tank I'd think nex dog can add almost anything he wants. with a 55, though its a bit more tricky. I know that a 6line above 1.5in will likely be male and one under will likely be female. Kind of the opposite of clowns, they evolve from: sexless-female-male. I also have only ever had one of these fish at a time, but maybe if you had a big one and a little one it might work out??? they are pretty damn aggressive though (almost like a damsel in the right situation) so you'd definately be taking a risk.

It would be very, very unlikely to work out well.

Typically, sixline wrasses seem to require territory of nearly 1.5 metres square per male. I've heard of harems being kept in smaller aquariums, but they seem to be the exception to the rule.

I'm not aware of a way to reliably determine the gender of these fish unless they are actively spawning, but I'm certainly no expert.

Six lines are pretty aggressive....I would think in a much larger tank, maybe it would be possible to keep 2 in one tank, but in a smaller tank I personally wouldn't try it.

Wrasses, Pseudochromis, rock-dwelling basslets and dwarf angels are all going to be seen as competition by any of the Pseudocheilinus sp. wrasses.
