Size of Plant?

I am looking at your FRESHWATER LIVE PLANTS:
Dwarf Baby Tears (Hemianthus callitrichoides)

It says Approximate Purchase Size: 1"
This is going to be used as a CARPET of the tank and need to know if the 1" is the height or the length of this plant. I am going to use a 24G JBJ Nano Cube and need enough to cover the bottom of half the tank.

Thank you for your post. The approximate purchase size for this item is based on the largest part of the plant. The Dwarf Baby Tears are fairly fast growers which will form a very beautiful carpet with their runners in time.

I am not sure how familiar you are with the JBJ 24 Gallon Nano Cube, but it is a square,tall tank. How many pieces of the Dwarf Baby Tears would you suggest for half the tank to get filled?

Thank you for your question. We would recommend starting with about 20 of these plants to allow plenty of room for them to grow into the carpet that you are looking for.
