Skimmer 3130 problems.

Hi, I have troubles with my skimmer. Every time I need to disconnect the skimmer it stop skimming. It's like the pump totaly stopps when I reconnect it! I have to put the whole box above surfice for a few minutes and then put it back, and only then it start to skim again.

Do I have to clean the pump with vineagar or something? But why does it work when "dry" it for a while?

It might have some debris in the pump, check all parts for calcium build up, go through the manual to be sure you have stripped it down to all the seperate parts. Also check that the hole in the center of the magnet is clean. It could also be that the bush bearing is out of position, push this in firmly when you reassemble the pump.
