Skimmer worked good then I completely cleaned it and now its been 3 months and its still not broke in and it continuously overflows even with pipe all the way open. Yes my phospates and nitrates are untraceable is this the reason for all this???

How long was it working well? When you cleaned it, what did you do to the skimmer (disassemble... run vinegar?). I would guess mechanical versus chemical/nutrient due to the fact with no nitrates, I would assume this would have the opposite effect. What type of skimmer, what is the water level in the sump chamber etc.

Tough to answer

I thought it would have opposite effect too...it worked good for 4 Or 5 months then I took it all apart and ran threw vinegar...its a vertex 130...water level is within what the manufacturer recommends...one other thing is when it was working good I had more nutrients during that time then I do now

I would raise the skimmer up more and try again. I have a vertex 180i and couldn't get it dialed in even after a month when using the recommended water height. Mine now sits in 7 inches of water and works perfectly. I'd go about 1/2 inch under the lowest recommended wafter level and start again there. Should be able to get it dialed in again then.
