Skimmer for 600g system

best bang for the buck IMO are Deltec's, if you have LOTS of space i hear good things about volcano skimmers as well...

If you want the best and have an unlimited budget, go with a Bubbleking.
Bubbleking 400 $3700 up to 1050g

If you want something similar to a BK, but still have a decent budget, then these 2 skimmers are very close in performance, but I would go with the H&S over Deltec.
H&S A250-2x1260 $1700 up to 700g capacity
Deltec AP902 $1869 up to 660g capacity

If you want something inexpensive, but performs as if it gives the above skimmers a run for their money, the go with the ATi.
ATi BM250 $769 up to 500g-700g capacity

If you wanted to step up, then:
H&S A300-3x1260 $2200 up to 1000g capacity
Deltec AP1003 $3270 up to 1300g capacity
Euro-Reef RC750 $1998 750g capacity

Forgot ER RC500 $1668 next to the above, 500g capacity

I would want a bigger skimmer than an A250, AP902, or BM250 on a 600G tank. Maybe an ER RC500, or H&S A300, Deltec AP703 size skimmer.

The "rated" capacities should be ignored since they are pretty meaningless.

$3500 for a skimmer???? WOW....I NEED A JOB WHERE YOU GUYS WORK.

I would get a mr4 or mr 6 the mr4 would be plenty and with pump and all can be your for less than $900...

spend the leftover $2400 on corals and fish....LOL

mr6 would suck the scales off of the fish:D

What do you recommend people use for comparison then?
I want something new for my 250...

Common sense for one. Look at the specs of the skimmer. Body size, technology, air draw. When you have three skimmers with nearly identical speces, there may be some small differences in performance, but not 2x the skimming capacity from one to the other.

Depends on your bioload, but the BM200 $549 or BM250 $769 would be one powerful skimmer for your setup.

Thanks you all for your value advices.
My tank is mature already. the corals are big, and I also have some big fish in there.
I run the MRC3 recicling skimmer right now. It does the job but I want something better.
I think I will go with the the Deltec AP703.

I will soon have what I assume is going to be a HUGE bioload...dragon moray in my 90 and will put a shark in my 250--plumbed together.
