Skimmer for inconsistent sump water levels

I have about 65 total water volume 50 gallon display 15 gallon sump and I don't have room for a top off system so I am looking for a skimmer that would allow continual skimming performance regardless of what the water level in my sump is. Any suggestions would be great. Thnx in advance

JBJ ATOs are super cheap and are reliable if you keep the sensor clean once a few months.

Honestly, best $ I spent in reefing in terms of automation.

Yea.... Any recirculating skimmer would work with a variable sump level. I think these work better then non recirc aka in sump skimmers due to maximizing dwell time and also being able to adjust the water flow inside the skimmer body.

There are other options just depends on the money you want to throw at it

Thanks all for the advice I will look around for a recirculating skimmer..the reef octopus pump on that skimmer I have read bad things about so I am gonna avoid it.

The OTP isn't the greatest pump ever made but it isn't that bad, the one on my 110 is about 4 years old and has worked fine. As with any piece of equipment keep it clean and you can extend it's life. The problem you will have is finding a recirc skimmer for a small tank, the Octo is at least a decent skimmer that is available.

If you don't have room for a small topoff reservoir (you only need like a 5G jug for a system your size) then it is trouble because you won't have room for a recirc most likely. I would recommend a small ETSS like sump buddy....
