I have an octopus nw110 I can't find to much info on it but it is not skimming properly. If I had to explain it I would have to say it is pulling more "wet" out than foam. The water level in my sump is not that high I would say maybe an inch or so above the pump just in case my power goes out.not sure if this makes a difference. Any thoughts?

I would say your water level is to low. Those skimmers operate best in 7-8 inches of water.

How big is your bioload? Wet skim usually means the bubbles are breaking to high so you might need to open up the valve a little bit. The bubbles will break alot lower and look like the skim wont reach the cup but after a few days it should produce more of a dry skim.

Bioload is decent...its pulling gunk put cause its collecting in the chamber before the cup....and what valve are you speaking of? I know I can adjust the level of the tube where the water exits from

Lowering the outlet tube will dry up your skimmate. Lot's of gunk will collect in that lower chamber, but your cup should also be filling up with the nasty.
