Skimmer help!

I am setting up at 250 reef tank with a 55 refugium. I am having some complications. I am told by my LFS that a the reef octopus diablo 225 skimmer will be enough for my tank. The specs are 180-200 gallon tanks. I don't think that will be enough. Does anyone else here think that will be okay or should I just go get a reef octopus xp3000sss?

Frequently the problem using a LFS is that they are obliged to move their inventory, so if he has one in stock, that may be the reason they are suggesting that skimmer. It's a good skimmer, and will work, but ultimately, I don't think it would be the best solution for your system. I would go with your choice. Keep in mind that the SRO will need to sit in a depth of 6" to 6.5" of water, and depending on where you are installing it, you may not have enough head room.
