Skimmer in new set up?

Hi every one, I just start a very nice 29 gal biocube three days ago, everyting is still in cero, amonia, nitrites, nitrates... but my question is, can I connect my oceanic skimmer now or should I wait until my water cycle finish?

it certainly wouldn't hurt, but don't expect to get a lot of skimmate production because your water is very clean at this point.

I would definitely run your skimmer while your cycling your tank

Definitely start running now....it may take a few weeks to break in the new skimmer b/c of the oils on the plastic. After your cycle you should be ready to rock n roll
