Skimmer info

I am down to choosing a slimmer for the new tank. It will be a 120 SPS/LPS tank. Basically my 60 doubled.

I have decided to look into the space saver designs. My LFS reccomends the RLSS DB-I modeles. He runs a DB5-I on his high end store tank and the thing is whisper quiet. I am trying to find info on the 6 and 8 sizes. RLSS have not updated their website with the new design.

If anyone has one can you give me the recomended operating water depth? I need to get my baffles cut.

Open to other suggestions.

RLSS is the best. I have tried many other skimmers and none come close. My experience is only with the R6i model. I would recommend the R6i or R8i.

I really like the look of the DBI models with the pump turned on end but am VERY hesitant on going RLSS due to their never updating their site and not responding to emails. Are they still in business? If you do go with the DBI please post some feedback.

My baffles have not been cut yet. I am in the design phase of the sump. It will be a converted 40 breeder. Depending on the skimmer head room should be no problem. There is 32" of useable height for a skimmer, that leaves 2" or so for cup removal.
