Skimmer Issues need help

I have a new tank approx. 2 months old. My skimmer is a G1X -Skimmer venture style. For a month and a half it was working great. This week I noticed that the collection cup is full of water. I emptied it and the skimmer is doing the same thing in filling the cup with water even at the lowest pipe setting. Can someone give me an idea of what could be wrong?
