Hi all I have been looking at skimmers for a long time now( I new this day was coming). I don't have the money really to buy the skimmer I want so I have to ask. I know it says rated for 100gallons But its in my budget range. The old skimmer was a seaclone I have had for 7 years and suprisingly it worked well. Its a 75g dt and 29g sump so real world water volume is probably 85g max Thank you ahead of time. One more note I have small space avialable so need the smaller footprint and cant spend to much more then this skimmer cost. Would this skimmer blow away the seaclone.:headwally:

Maybe you should consider building an algae turf scrubber.. can make them for pretty darn cheap, and will do a good job at exporting nutrients for you

I would want a skimmer for sure but some people will say you dont have to have one. What kind of bio load do you have in you tank? I have a reef octopus 300 pro skimmer. Different then the one you are looking at but I love the octopus it does a really nice job. It looks like the reviews are good for it and I am sure someone on RC has one and will be able to help you out. Good luck

Well bio load isn't huge at the moment. Clown watchman and about 4 sps mushrooms couple diff kinds gorgonian and 6 other softy/lps. Its a pretty steady system been running for about 3 years was just to broke from divorce to do much with it. Levels have always been good other then recent mag ca alk problem but thats all better now. I used to run the seaclone on pretty heavy stocked system and it always kept up just want to buy something better then another seaclone lol.
