Skimmer mod - big neck to little neck

I wanted to up my gas exchange for some PH help. So after being underwelmed by my last two cone skimmers, I decided to take the old Extreme 160 out of mothballs and print an adapter plate to use with one of the smaller necked cups. Only been running for 12 hours and needs a bit of dialing in but I think I'm going to be happy.

Too many people think BIGGER is Better with skimmers.
It has been shown that NOT to be true.
Only figure tank volume (do not include sump) for sizing a skimmer.
AND, if you are going to use a rollermat, DOWNSIZE by 1 size.

That is very cool; have you 3D'd other aquarium stuff? I'm imagining how fun it would be to make a whole list of things.

So unfortunately the PSK 2500 pump started acting up and driving me nuts, so I had to go back to a smaller cone skimmer. I will definitely go back to the bigger body skimmer once I get a replacement pump for it. I thought I would post the change in PH observed upon switching which is pretty convincing that a larger reaction time/volume can definitely help PH. My air is drawn from outside FYI.
