Would switching out a maxi jet 1200 for a power head work? I have a few different sizes and flow rates and given a little modification would this be beneficial or detrimental? It's a cheap little seaclone 100. Nothing special. But if this would possibly help I was willing to feankenstein the hell out this thing for better performance.
