Skimmer noise

The lil hose that sucks air into the Asm sedra pump to make the bubbles is making alot of noise, is there anyway to quiet it down or are they just made like that?

I melted a hole in a prescription pill bottle and put the air hose in it. Then I heated a needle and melted several small holes in the lid. Put a small, loosely crumpled piece of paper towel in the bottle and replace the lid. Make sure that the paper towel doesn't touch the end of the air hose. This made my skimmer 100% silent.

you can find silencers that are very similar to the one they described. I know turboflotors made by aqua medic come with them so I am sure you can find one to buy through them.
