skimmer on--24/7 or not?

how many actually run their skimmers 24/7 or do any run it randomly?

i unpluged mine just to feed and do water changes,it was a HOB,now its in the sump i leave it on when i feed

Correction, let me qualify my statement:

I DO shut down the Skimmer when performing heavy Maintneance, namely when I mount Frags with Agua-Expoxies. There's something about the expoxy properties which trashes the skim-process.

Shortly after messing with the Corals, they all go crazy and goo up the tanks for a while, so the skimmer works over time, belching out skimmate, once I do throw it back on.

Other that THAT: 24/7
