skimmer on 24 aquapod

I'm installing a cpr 2r skimmer on my 24 gallon aquapod. Seeing how this is such a small tank I need to ask this:

the water I need for the skimmer will take away a lot of the water from the sump of the aquapod thus setting off my auto top off so all I need to do is add the already made "salt water" from the lfs that I need for the skimmer right?

I just need to know that I'm right so I don't kill something. Thanks!

You got it right. Add more NSW to account for the water being used by the skimmer. If you can, disable the ATO unit until the skimmer is installed and running. Then add your needed amount of water until it reaches the ATO float valve. Then just turn your ATO unit back on.

ok I have the skimmer on the tank, now I have another problem: Micro bubbles...... Whats the best way to get rid of these tiny things?

Ok it's been 4 hours and the tank is full of micro bubbles, anyone know how to help me?? I have sponges surounding the skimmer and still micro bubbles everywhere, I turned the air line valve off for now until I can clean up this problem

Open the air valve as far as it will go on the skimmer. I actually just took the valve off. Adjust the collection cup to the appropriate height and just wait a couple of days for the microbubbles to go away. I had the same problem when I first installed my Bakpak.

I have clams in the tank, would the micro bubbles affect them? Also could I add a fish with the micro bubbles going or not? I've been waiting to add my true percula clown from my 75 to this tank and whenever I am about to do it somehting gets in the way....lol.

I think they would be allright. There are tons of microbubbles in the ocean because of waves crashing into the reef. They should all be OK for a few days.

I have been doing some research and my lfs has this bubble eliminator in stock. I might give it a try later today. What does everyone think of this one?

ok scratch that, that doesn't fit on the CPR 2R and the bubble eliminator doesn't fit in the back sump of the 24 aquapod.

So I did this: I went to my local hardware store, got a piece of pvc to fit in the outlet of the CPR and into the waterand I filled it with sponge mater and it seems to be helping a lot!

So now I will wait a few days and see how it goes, It's been on a day and nothing has collected yet.
