Skimmer Options for AP24?

I've had an AP 24 sitting in my garage for two months now. I haven't set it up yet because I want to get all the mod parts together first.

My biggest hurdle is the skimmer. I don't want to start drilling for other mods until I figure out what skimmer I can fit in the AP 24. I can't go topless on this tank and I don't want to drill the glass. Has anyone had any success with the Tunze skimmer in the AP24?

If you do weekly water changes you won't need a skimmer.
