Skimmer, overflow and Return Pump

Hi everyone!

So I am rather new to the whole reef hobby thing but I know the basics. I had 8 gal nano reef for about 3 years and now I am moving towards my new system: 74 gal Display + 25 gal sump (so total water volume roughly around 100 gal).

Everything is almost ready for the big start but - I checked my skimmer and my return pump. I have bought Bubble Magus BM150 Pro and aquabee 2000/1 for the return - so both pumps are the same. I have heard good reviews about these - that they are quiet. Is this me or what but I don't think they are rather noisy. Do they become more quiet after some time? I guess that still they will be too loud for my liking and thus I want to change them.

Currently I am looking at Vertex omega series. I have few problems:
1) Is it really that quiet as people say - I have seen mixed reviews (well is it better than the BM150?)
2) Which model to choose for my system? Is the 130 enough or is it better to go with the 150?
Maybe I should choose another option - like something from NYOS?

Regarding return pump - I understand that the variable DC pumps are more quiet and that is the way to go. Again - what is good? I am looking towards Tunze silence electronic. Some people suggest the cheaper version - Jabeo DC3000. So in your mind - which would be a wiser (less noisy) choice? Maybe something else?

And now the overflow. I made a huge mistake in ordering my tank with only 2 drilled holes - one for the drain line (40 mm = 1.6") and the second for the return line (20 mm= 3/4"). Initially I though I would be able to use simple Durso system but I couldn't get it silent enough for my liking so I want to go with the full siphon. But now what to do with the backup emergency? I have thought about very complex piping (coaxial symetry) for the backup emergency line and full siphon but I am not sure weather it is a good idea or not. I called the company and they refused to drill the third hole - they told it was too risky. So how can I fix this?

Please comment because I am a bit lost right now in my thoughts and circumstances.

Thank you very much!

Use one hole as the main drain, the second as the emergency drain and use an over the back return. Better yet, go over the back and add a sea swirl for a varied water flow source.

I don't know why people overlook them, (maybe because its a slight knockoff) but I LOVE my SC Aquariums protein skimmer. Even with the cabinet door open, looking at the sump, I cannot hear it making any noise.
And this think makes a TON of skimmate. Works great really. Oh, and I've got the 302, rated for 180 gallons, and it was $140.00 brand new
