Skimmer overflowing

Did you change anything to make it work better? I am currently having the same issue since installing mine about 2 weeks ago.

Did you use putty to glue the rocks together? Putty makes my skimmer go nuts and I have to skim extra wet and let the cup drain into a buck and replace with freshly mixed saltwater in the tank. This could take about 7 gallons in my old 50 gallon tank.

me too.

I did use a lot of JB Water Weld on 15-20 frags. Along with super glue gel.

Bingo. That's your problem right there. Epoxy causes the skimmer to overflow for days/weeks on end. Period. But I think you're rushing things adding coral frags to a week old tank. I would remove the frags and the epoxy.

And wait at least a few months until the tank is ready for coral. Even then, I would not use epoxy to fasten frags to rocks because you'll have the same problem. Use glue only. Do some research here on what's the best glue to use.

Good luck,

Mike

There's a break in period of about 4 weeks IMO

I ended up adding airing tubing to the to of the silencer and adding a valve to cut down on the amount of air being sucked in. Seems to have worked but I'm assuming it is effecting the performance as well
