Skimmer problem! HELP!

Lately my skimmer (Coralife Super 65G) has been putting a large amount of micro bubbles out. It is a HOB venturi style skimmer, no refugium or sump to put it in. Any thoughts on what could be causing these micro bubbles and what I can do to try to get rid of them?

The only change that I have done to my tank lately is switching from tap water to RO/DI water, and I doubt that could cause the problem.

One extra thing, when I unplug the skimmer a LARGE amount of micro bubbles comes back out the intake. Not sure if that means anything.

Please help!

normal when you make water change or feed the skimmer will put micro babble in the tank.

the best way to reduce it to zero it's to mod a small breeder (petco have them) box with hole inside down and to put on the bottom some filter sponge it will cut of the bubble for all the time
you will need to drill gentle the hole not to break the plastic and you can attach it with suction (like those on the seaweeds clip) back to tank and forget from bubble for ever. the idea it's same as bubble trap
