Skimmer Problem please help!

I am using an Pro Clear skimmer for about 3 months now
and it seems the pump attached does not seem to be working
100%. I am willing to get another pump but not sure what strength.
It says 12 volt on the one which is attached. I have it in my sump with lighting and a sand bed.

What strength or wattage?
Should I change out the whole deal and go for the Aqua C?

I keep hearing great things about the Aqua C but not sure which one for the in the sump thing.

Sorry don't have all the lingo down yet!

Before jumping in and buying a new one, take the one you have apart and clean it. I bet it's just clogged up.

I would agree , make sure your keeping the one you have now clean before tossing out the bucks for a new , I have an Aqua C my self and am very happy with t, but unless I keep it clean, would do the same ...

12volts? it's a dc pump?

I took it out of the sump cleaned all the parts and it is still the same.

I am not sure what DC means but it's small it's def not like the mag 9.5 that attached to my overflow.
