skimmer problem

my skimmer has not been working that good latley one sec its dry skimming then the next time i check it its overflowing cause its wet skimming. i have no idea what kind of skimmer it is but the outtake slides up and down and the air hose didnt come with a adjuster on it and the guy who i ordered it thru said just to leave t how it is ( brian patterson from aquatica he is a drc member) is who i ordered it thru.


does anyone know what it could be or does anybody ever heard of this kind of skimmer before?

Is this a DIY skimmer or can you provide the model? Make sure all pipes are tight and slightly limit the amount of air intake.
