skimmer question

i have a euro reef with a brand new sedra 5000 ive been running on for the past two days, the thing is that is creating a lot of bubbles but isnt foaming what could be the issue

Isn't foaming as in no skimmate?? It can take a few days for the skimmer to "break" in.. Also check the water level inside the skimmer, raising it will help a little will skim wet at first but you can then adjust for a dryer skim. HTH
