Skimmer question

Not sure if this should be in the beginner section or right here in the "Lighting, Filtration & Other Equipment " section.

Now, I am an expat in Hong Kong and don't actually know anyone with a reef tank, plus 99% of the staff at our local fish shops don't speak any English at all, so this forum and YouTube are basically my only sources of info.

Anyway, I have a basic Chinese made little skimmer, as per foto. It happens to work pretty well, except for the fact that it makes a ridiculous amount of bubbles.

I don't know if all skimmers do this, or if its just my cheap one. I'm quite happy to buy a new skimmer, if it doesn't make bubbles.

well tank stats is needed to help you.. that would be a cool skimmer for a small nano.....but ive never seen or heard of them

Its a 30g tank with a 10g sump. However, it always makes a huge stream of bubbles, regardless of which tank it is in. It does collect some good brown stuff though.
