skimmer question

hello, i have two aqua clear(60) protien skimmers on my 29g tank. over the past 2 weeks or so it seems as if they are not skimming anymore. still have bubbles spinning around in the tube, it just doesnt seem that they are sticking together like they use to. nothing has really changed except i added a phosban reactor 1/3 phosphate remover and 2/3 carbon but that was just a few dyas ago so.... I dont know. thanks for any help on this topic

well carbon will remove most organics in the water so you will skim nothing to some also if oyu have a small bio load the carbon could have taken the protien out of the water for you already.

take apart your skimmer and clean it real good, that might help out some. I say its time to upgrade to a better skimmer. running carbon is not going to make your skimmer not pull anything.
