SKimmer question?

I have the coral life super skimmer the 125 model I believe. And I have a mag 7 pump just laying around doing nothing. Can I put that pump on that skimmer? Will it even make a difference? Will it be to much for it?

I know the pump that comes with it is a no name POC, I get a pretty decent skim out of it but I would always like better.

Use the original pump and inject air with air pump (60 gl +) with valve to adjust air and you get more skimmate.
