Just to add a little more detail, I think the answer should be,
"no, not if you do regular water changes."
And if you want to use supplements, I think the consensus is to
only dose with substances you can _reliably_ test for, which
pretty much limits you to calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity
(shudders while remembering trying to use an old strontium
test kit...)
Oh, and avoid any 'magic potions' that claim to do multiple things
and don't list the ingredients on the bottle.
