Skimmer questions

I have a CPR Dual Bak Pak Skimmer

My main concerns are this:

It came with RIO 600RV Powerheads, I read somewhere that these powerheads have had problems with catching fire....

Also if I purchase Maxi-Jet powerheads, does it come with an attachment for the Venturi application?

And lastly, would the Maxi-Jet 1200 be too much flow the the Dual Bak Pak?

it does come with a peice for the venturi valve/hose.a 1200 might make it skim too wet.a maxi jet 900 rated at 230gph problably do the job.

Mine came with the mj1200 and works fine

So with the MJ1200 comes with everything needed including venturi capability?
