i have an asm g4x and was thinking of running it off my ac3 and turning it off at night when the corals are feeding to save electricity and help coral growth. is this going to make any difference at all?
also thought about modding the asm so i could dump one 1 1/2 drain straight into the skimmer and using the pump to recirculate the water instead of feeding it. any thoughts on this? will it be too much flow?
