Skimmer Reccs when space is tight

I have a sump that will accomodate something upwards of 12" wide, BUT that ignores the fact that the overflow will have to come down somewhere around there. System will be 150 or a bit less total gallons. I can consider external, but for simplicity sake don't really want to. Heat input IS a factor, so it can't use an energy hungry pump. And don't say Bubbleking. Once upon a time I had a BK400. But my days of spending like that are gone. I need relative bang for the buck. I will spend, but I can't spend for BK minis. Stand will be at least 30" tall, so I don't figure that's a problem. Suggestions? I have been out of fishkeeping for 4 years, so I have no idea *** SRO and SWC and bubble magus etc are.

Well the best bang for your buck with small footprints for your tank. I assume its a 120 with a 30g sump.....

SRO xp2000sss
Aquamaxx am250 , Might be a little big but skims like a beast.
Skimz SM201- make sure you get the SM, and not the SK. THe sk uses the es 2800 pump and its a bit noisey in my opinion. THe SM model uses the es5000 pump and its a different internal design. Much quieter.
Not built as nice but still work well are the swc and BM skimmers. they share atman pumps. So very similar performance. A nac 7 or 8 would be the way to go.
