Looking for a skimmer recommendation, in sump, for a 90 gallon reef. I was looking towards the reef octopus 150 but wanted to know if there were any other good ones around that price point. Thanks.

Been using a RO Prime 150 INT on my 80 gal DT with a 40 gal sump for 7 months now. So far very pleased, it's quiet, consistent, and reliable, almost set and forget if you will. I run it in shallower water than recommended but so far it has been rock solid with not so much as a hiccup.

Bubble Magus Curve A5 on my 90 has done a great job so far.

I have the EXACT same size setup as you.
You're NOT going to beat Reef Octopus. PERIOD.
I've got the 150INT. Works fabulously.

I have a Lifereef skimmer, older tech that wont fail you and if the pump dies you can replace it with any pump that is the same size. here is a good thread on them. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2399643

I'd choose from those personally. If money isn't a major factor I'd probably go for the Vertex or RO Regal 150SSS. The other two are also very good but a little cheaper.
