Skimmer recommendation

Hey fellow reefers. I need your opinion on a skimmer for my system. Right now I have 175 gallon total system volume and someday hope to upgrade to around 400 or so. In-sump or exterior doesn't matter much to me. I just want the best I can get. I have $1000 set aside for this but if I don't have to spend that much i won't be disappointed. Thanks for your opinions.

Go with the reeflo 250 put the monster on my 270 gal system and it pulled out tons of crud the first week runnng at half air I had the venturi only have open and the flow set for 300gph during the first 3 weeks as recommending during the break in cycle its awsome and very quite for what it does More growth in the last 2 weeks than the entire six months I had the tank running I have to stick a finger in the tank to make sure there's still is water in the tank it so cyrstal clear !!!!
