Skimmer / skimmate locker and level control

Since Michael is out, and the NA support forum is pretty slow, I figured I'd ask on RC.

I currently have my skimmer on programmable logic to turn off for 20 minutes after my return pump restarts. I bought a skimmate locker from Avast marine and it will allow me to use the level control 3 in the profilux to turn off the skimmer if the locker becomes full of skimmate or SW. I believe I need to set this as another programmable logic, but I can't remember the proper terms.

Any help would be appreciated.

Chris

You want to use the "or function"

Make the socket that controls the skimmer pump sign to a new gate, for example gate 10.

Use the or function for gate 10.

Simple terms, water 1 or water 3 = gate 10

Depending how you do it, you might need to invert the logic.
This will turn the skimmer off if either of those conditions happen.

Thanks.

So right now I have Prog logic 1 is maintenance AND delayed on, Prog 2 is filter AND delayed on (both to delay the skimmer pump from turning on till the water level in the sump is lowered) and for the socket for the skimmer I have prog logic 3 with is Prog logic 1 AND 2. Should I add prog logic 4 as water 3 OR prog logic 3?

Whats your logic for doing this: "I currently have my skimmer on programmable logic to turn off for 20 minutes after my return pump restarts"
I have the same set up and was wondering how to configure?
Thanks

So that if I feed amino acids or a very fatty oily food, the skimmer doesn't suck it all out as soon as my return pump is turned on.

Hi Chris.. Sorry I might have asked the wrong way!!
I know why you did it...I just want to know HOW you got to it---from the programable logic side of it...
I am trying to configure the same thing...but have issues!!!!
Thanks

Gotcha.

Skimmer is on socket S16, with is programmable logic 3.

I have gate 1 as delayed on with maintenance 1 in input 1, and gate 2 as delayed on for filter (both for 1200s). Then I have gate 3 as "AND" programmable logic 1 and 2. This is why my socket 16 is listed as programmable logic 3.

Ok. This is even more stupid of a question than prev asked!!! I apologize but I have to ask...when you refer to "gate"; what do you mean?
Programmable logic?

So in the programmable logic screen, you'll see G1, G2, G3, etc down the right side. Those are gates. Programmable logic is overall concept.
