Skimmer Suggestions

Hi guys I will be needing a new skimmer for my tank... I have never owned one before so I have no idea what so ever on how they work, how to run them, maintain them, etc... I will be needing one for my 57 gallon tank, the dimentions are 30'' long, 18" wide, and 22" tall. Also in the back there is a pretty big HOB that occupies more than half of the back side. There is probably 10" or less of space available, or I am not sure if one can be placed on the side of the tank.. I want one that can hang in the back and fits easily. I have no room for a sump. Also I am still in high school if you guys aren't aware (will be graduating this year) and I really do not have as much money as some of you have to spend on my tank.. consider that I only have a part time job with horrible and very little hours.. (and gas now a days is expensive as hell) I want to get a good one possible for a fair price, so if anybody has some good suggestions they will be appreciated greatly :)

Thanks

Beto

You could try to re-sell Hans and I's coral and live rock for money for more money. I wait you have been already been doing that.

Also there is no way around it. Skimmers are expensive you have all the ones laid out in front of you several times by me and others. Are you looking for a petty buy or what? Thanks

my suggestion is the same skimmer we told you, well steffen told you to get, and also buy my refugium from me and put that back there and get rid of the whatever filter you got on the tank now. thats the only 2 things i got for filtration, octopus skimmer, and cpr refugium.

whats up with that Steffen?... are you trying to get on me or something? I havent sold anything... whats the deal bro... why comment if you arent going to give any positive feed back?.. isnt what this is about?

I think they are referring to the suggestions they had made here: 54 and 61. As an alternative, if you do not like those, I would recommend the Aqua C Remora Pro. I had this on my 90 for awhile and performed well. You can source used ones fairly cheap on the for sale threads. But if I was getting new I would go with the recommendation they made. Before I posted this I looked up the prices of the remora and the RO's and was surprised at how expensive the remora is now! If you do go with a remora I would suggest the MJ1200 or the Mag 3 pump.
