I am currently constructing a 42 gal cube build with about 15 additional gallons running through a sump. I am looking for suggestions as to what would be a good fit with sump space not being much of an issue (I can handle a skimmer footprint up to 14 x 10) and trying to keep the price under $300, although a little more wouldn't scare me off. I have been considering these models most strongly:
1. CADlights TIA 1150 or 1220
2. SWC 120 or 160
3. Reef Octopus NWB-160 6"
4. Super Reef Octopus 1000
I am also open to suggestions not already mentioned, so long as it is in reason (I'm not looking to hear that a RK2 would work great for my situation) and I would love anyone with hands on experience with any of these skimmer models to chime in. Going larger for future upgrading isn't an issue because I already have an additional tank and would build for that accordingly. Thanks in advance.
