Skimmer time???

I've been running my double back pak 24/7. I'm not having any issues, but I was wondering if others only run them for a period of time each day or do you leave them on 24/7. The other reason I'm asking is, I did just get 2 Derasa Clams and I was wondering if 24/7 is too long to run with them in my tank?

24/7.

I only turn it off for feeding phyto or maintenance. Other than that it remains on all the time.

Yep, 24/7 unless feeding. At that time I turn off my return so nothing leaves my tank ( about 15 minutes). Sump still skims though. After a feeding look out. Your skimmer may foam up a little more than usual.
