Does running a skimmer on a QT remove fish treatments? I have a fish in QT that I'm treating for fin rot, should I run the skimmer?

It depends on the medication being used, but many are incompatible with skimmers.

I doubt it will actually remove it, skimmers remove mostly organic materials, which is why you can run a skimmer while your dosing Ca and Alk. However Gwynhidwy is right, a lot of times they can be finicky and will overflow with the addition of any chemical to the tank. That or just stop working all together, so i'd run without one.

Best thing to do is treat, and then remove the medication with activated carbon in a hang on back filter or Phosban Reactor.
