I am currently starting to plumb a 265 gal display with a 75 gal sump. I am looking for a good skimmer for under $1000 , I have 39 inches of height and 18 inches wide and almost 3 foot of length to work with.I can go with external or in sump.

I would go with the sro xp-5000. Its a great skimmer at a good price. I bought mine from Reef Specialty.
