Skimmer

I have an asm g-3 I'm pulling out in a couple weeks. It's gonna need a new impeller. It's pretty hard to get started now. I have an extra pump also. The original had a burn mark on it. It was epoxied and works fine, (also needs an impeller though). I'd take 50 bucks for it.

I have an AquaC 180 for $150 obo. Currently running in my 40 cube , way overkill for it ,buts its the only extra skimmer i had.

I picked up a used vertex today thxs for the responses guys.
Let me know how you like the vertex. I'm looking to maybe upgrade. I really like the look of the vertex, and it will match my Zeovit reactor.

wanted to run the skimmer a few days before answering. It is a omega 150 vertex. I checked the reviews online and some people complained about not be able to get it adjusted properly. I placed the skimmer in the sump and after a couple of days it was producing good skimate, I have not adjusted anything to be honest I am not even sure how to adjust it. I am running a ATO that keeps the water level in my sump very consistent, Only thing I can think of is the people that are having problems don't keep there sump water level consistent. Though the first week of running it I am very happy with the noise level the skimmer makes an air sucking noise that is barely audible and with the amount of skimate that is being generated. I am not ready yet to say it is outperforming my old skimmer RS-80, but I think in the next few weeks I will be saying that it is better.

All my equipment is in the basement, so noise really isn't an issue. My RO 150INT does a good job, but is loud. If it was below mu tank, it would be annoying.
