New 400g, cycled, two months old, live rock and have added 16 small fish and cleanup crew. ETSS 600 skimmer, no protein in skimmer, it also just erupts now and then overflowing. Is this normal to take this long to season a skimmer? what could be causing these periodic eruptions? Any help would be appreciated.

what do you mean eruptions?
Id imagine he means no skimming, then all of a sudden it overflows like crazy. My crappy coralife skimmer used to do that. the first question Id ask, is it in the deepest part of the sump, where the level doesnt change? That could do it if not, thats where my questions would start.
