I have been skimmerless for the last month & my tank seemes to be flourshing, looking for some opinion's on going with no skimmer, could the asm g6 been over-skimming & pulling out 2 much of the good stuff?

give it time....I actually ran a 90 gallon with a low bioload for almost a year skimmerless with a fuge and miracle mud and it looked incredible the whole time. I imagine you could try it for a while and see how it does....

sell the G-6! nevermind

Sell? Hah!

I mean it is stunting coral growth, I'd just give it away!

I mean i may be able to use it as a vase possibly.

It makes sense, you have a lof of softies who prefer a dirtier water as I understand but I wouldn't go too long w/o at least a little skimming. Watch your sps closely and keep up with the water tests. It is interesting, since the power meltdown and the die off the few soft corals in my tank look better as well.

:D Dennis, yes i can't sell the g-6 here as i am business to some:eek1:
or 2 the some that turned me in:mad2: So ill take the g-6 & my other suff, which may include the whole 100 set up to ebay. Will be kinda funny if i decide to sell the 100, as the guy that turned me in was the guy that wanted to buy it & now he can't on here.

WOW ! Sounds awesome !

My 150 has been without a skimmer since I set it up. Has a 60 gal. refugium with live rock, sand and chaeto. It has been running about 1 year and is doing great. Mostly softies although I do have a couple of sps's that are doing great also. My plan is to keep it wiithout a skimmer as long as it keeps doing as well as it is.
