Skimming?

Is there such thing as over skimming? I have a 55 gallon tank that i will be downsizing to a 20 high. My sump for my 55 is a 20high with a octopus 150 skimmer ( rated for 150 gallon). My question is can i use my sump and skimmer on the 20high or will the the skimmer be overkill?

You can not over-skim IMO.

the only way you can over skim is if you're not replacing the salt lost
