I have a McCoskers flasher wrasse that has been in my care for 6 months. It is really skinny. I am currently treating it in quarantine with maracyn and maracyn II. The maracyn II is supposed to help with skinny fish. He had some ripped fins so that is why I am using maracyn as well.
I have had the fish a little too long to think that he may have been caught with cyanide and I got him from a very reputable dealer. The fish is very alert, very active and seems to be in great health aside from being so thin. He continues to eat just not as well as I would like certainly nothing like my solar wrasse.
If the maracyn II doesn't get some weight back on this fish what else could I try? I really like this fish and I don't want to lose him.
I know I should have posted this in the disease section but I felt I would probably get more input in this one.
Thanks for your help,
C.G.
