Skittish Duncan

Hi all-

I picked up 2 heads of a Duncan coral and mounted them in my tank, towards the bottom, with low-mod light and decent flow. This was about a week ago. But it seems like this coral is "skittish", quickly retracting when fish swim by or sometimes even when the lights in the room change. Is this normal or a sign of stress? Nitrates 7ppm Alk 8.05, Cal 450, phos 0.02ppm, ph 8.2, water change weekly. All other corals look good.

My Duncan Whiskers gets skittish when my lead foot father walks in the room. Give it time to acclimate. It also has certain days from time to time when it won't expand nearly as much. Other than that mine has heads larger than silver dollars with fat tentacles and eats like a horse.

I have a duncan that went from 2 heads to probably ~50 and is one of my favorites. My two clowns live in the duncan and it only retracts when they go crazy in it. I think it should calm down over time.

WOW, I'm loving it! Awesome Duncan Krafty

Here's my new 23 head Duncan

Thanks Homer, It was just opened when I took that picture. I should have taken a new one today but I will get one tomorrow. It got quite a bit more open and bigger than when that was taken.
