My ammonia is slight has at .25. This is one shade above 0. Any1 know how to get rid of it.

I have a 4 fish in the tank. 95 gallons.

1 yellow tang
2
green chromis,
algae blenny.

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about .25 too much, it should cycle out fairly quickly depending on how much live rock you have. You may be overfeeding too.

I have been feeding 4x a week. I may cut it down to 2 weeks. I do have some brown algae/ green algae in the tank. It is a pretty new tank, 95 gallons and I have just added my fish. I was unable to stable my temp ( I have now) so that is why I have a little green algae now.

As far as LIve Rock goes I have 155 lbs. I think I have enought for it to cycle through.

thanks

You have a yellow tang and a lawnmower blenny and are only feeding 4x a week? I just started as well and have a purple tang and two blennys that came with the tank. I feed a 1/4 sheet of Nori seaweed each morning along with 1/4+ tsp of good pellet and flake food (Formula 2 flake and Dnichi marine and veggie pellets) and again at night with the flake/pellet mix or every other night feeding a 1/2 cube of mysis.

Tangs like to eat constantly so why not cut down on the amount you feed each time but increase the frequency? All of the food in my tank is out of the water column within five minutes except for the nori which hangs around most of the day until one of the blennys rips it off the clip so it can sail through the tank.

do a big water change and get some crabs or something in there to eat left over stuff so it doesn't decay?
