Slimy water

Hello,

I seem to have a slime on the cords and vinyl tubing in my sump. It is clear. I also noticed the same slime on the vinyl tubing in my brute can that holds my water for water changes. Should I be worried? What is this?

How long have you been noticing this? Have you tested your water recently? I noticed something like this in my water change trash can and it ended up being a bad batch of salt.

I've noticed the same thing, but never really worried about it. I try to use the water before it gets the opportunity to slime up like that. So while I don't know what it is, I've used stuff like that without problems in the past.

I think that is pretty normal i get the same thing in my RO/DI water storage container. I once a month clean out the container and let it sit in the sun to dry there is always crap in the bottom of the container that some how makes its way in there.
