Slow 180 gallon build!

Looks like some good pickups so far.

IDK about the mud. Research it some before you use it.

sorry i have been neglecting this thread lot has happened since last post.....
no its not setup yet lol.

Building a small fish room( better then nothing) so tank will now be in the wall! So I have been working on that with the help of friends this week. Still more to go hope to get the tank in soon and start electrical. Waiting for the ghost overflow to come back in stock now is the main hold up.

Also forgot to mention that skimmer is now at a friends house since his took a crap and he needed something asap. But now he wants to keep it as we had to rearrange stuff to get it to fit lol. So now i have to look for another good deal on a skimmer so he can buy it for me lol.

Also looking at the Avast cs3 cone kit that you build on you own think that would be cool to build it all by hand and then watch it work pretty neat if you ask me. I need to decide today really for the BM since its 14% off with the marine depot sale that sends tonight...

The struggle of picking a skimmer!

That is nice on getting it for a few pennies off.

I am ion the fence. I need to get one that will fit my sump better. I have a 75g sump, which is 21 inches to the lip. The overall total inside height restriction is 39 inches.

SO... from the bottom of the outflow to the top of the lid needs to be between that range.

AND... suitable for a 400g tank system.

I have no problem raising it to fit, just have my head spinning from converting MM to inches. It would not be so hard except the american site of a German company has different documents that one will show English and the next metric. THEN... one had both, intermixed. UUgh... LOL

i hear ya lol I will be up for a while deciding what i want to get and talking my buddy into buying me this one.

Just tell him you will take the other one back, and let him decide then. HAHAHAHA

It is not to hard, I would get one that is geared to handle a few hundred gallons over what you have now, just in case you ever add more to it.

Yeah that is a good friend... I might just invite you in March... (3/22 btw)

So any leads on the skimmer?

Pulled the trigger this morning and got me a avast cs3 with swabbie and 5 gallon locker! So now I get to practice on some basic acrylic skills.
