Slow growth on orange envy's

I've had a 4 polyp colony of orange envy zoos for a few months now and I have yet to see a new polyp. I got the frag from Juan Carlos in a trade (great guy btw!) and it came with 3 adults and 1 tiny baby polyp. The only growth that I have noticed is on the baby polyp. It is now as large as the other ones. Here's a pic of then when I 1st got them:

Any idea how to accelerate the growth?

I wish these would grow quicker too. That would mean that more would be available for all reefers. Unfortunately, the high prices indicate that it is a slow grower...

Help the guy out... I'd love to have these things grow like weeds :)

I sure would like toget some of those...But at that price I would get KILLED....enough said. :)

" Here's a pic of then", Great English! LOL! I meant to say, " Here's a pic of them". All kidding aside, why don't these grow faster!!!!!!!:)

Well, if you want me to find an answer, I think that you should let me "borrow" a polyp or 2. I have some stuff that I could let you "borrow" too.

Have you seen them actively feed? I know some of the palys I have would eat and feeding would tend to elevate the growth.

Thats what I would try first anyway....I don't think there really is any magic pill toget them to grow faster....

Just something I did and discovered by accident (and just haven't replicated yet)... May just be an odd occurrence... I have a frag of 4 polyps of PPE that I have had for about 9 months now. In January, it still had 4 polyp when I cut it to trade a polyp for a PHE. Within two weeks it had a total of 6 polyps (3 new ones). It now has 7, but I will be cutting another polyp tomorrow, so I'll see if it puts on more polyps in a short time frame with the fragging.

Interesting theory gflat. I suppose the stress of cutting it could make it reproduce faster so it can keep living.

The fragging theory seems to be successful for many people. I should really give it a try!

Let us know when and if you attempt this Maximus. I'm curious hear about the results.

However, I would try to feeding first!!! No sense in risking all of them through fragging.
